I enjoyed this tongue in cheek treatment of how to recognize the choking weeds in your own personal garden of friends. I believe that everyone can find at least one situation in this book that is relatable. I loved hating these obnoxious people right along with the author. Entertaining with some very valid points. We should all be cutting the toxic people out of our lives when we can. It's all about valuing yourself and learning to recognize when enough is enough.

With “The Friend Dump," author Sandy Keigh turns her exasperated focus to the straw - “the straw that broke the camel’s back,” that is. What, at first, begins reading as a coffee klatch of “spilling the tea," wait until you hear about this one” types of stories amongst friends quickly turns into a relatable series of interpersonal observations of which many of us have been a victim: at times uncomfortable; at times entertaining; often infuriating. As someone currently experiencing the difficulty and challenges of dumping toxic family members, I found the open discussion of those tribulations bordering on self-help. Author Keigh writes with honesty and frankness of emotion that offers the reader a community of culling, an acknowledgment of the occasional incompatibility of the shared human experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to be reassured of the value of choosing self-love over toxic relationships. Or a good gossip about the neighbors…..
