The "Literary Truth In Advertising" award goes to.....
The most accurately named work of fiction that I've read in years. The Banke Brothers truly are Bastards. Ethan and Matt are easily two of the most ruthless, self-centered, anxiety-inducing literary antagonists I've ever had the pleasure of reading.......the pleasure coming from their inevitable conclusion. As the story approaches the end, the succulent taste of karma becomes even more delicious. In these times of the truly horrible seemingly getting away with egregious behaviors, it's refreshing to read about a couple of Bastards getting their due. A refreshing tale for those who still believe that the good guys can still win in the end.

How people treat you is their Karma, how you react is yours.
Being a daughter that helps take care of her parents was very hard reading how ungrateful and nasty these twins were with their mother. And of course to their sister Amelia who was always no matter what helping them out.
I felt for Amelia how she had to deal with these twins, I wanted to jump in the story and beat the twins. But I guess the best way to deal with people like this is ignore and stay away. And as for the end of the book in other words: " There's a natural law of Karma that vindictive people who go out of their way to hurt others, will end up broke and alone!
Great novel to read and understand that there will always be bad people around, but at the end you choose your karma.
