It's all fun and games—until it isn't!
Best friends Margo Sinclair, Chelsea Gavrila, and Lia Nadeau have been like sisters since pre-school. Now, years after high school, they remain closer than ever as they enjoy the good life.
However, when a tropical vacation goes bad, their world turns upside down as the women are thrown into a situation they could have never imagined when their vacation turns into a nightmare after one of the trio goes missing. Suspicion falls on her closest friends, and the bonds of relationships take a sinister turn.
With flashing lights and sirens blaring, four police vehicles pulled into the island estate. The black and white cars parked around the circular entrance near the front of the house. Eight officers, two from each vehicle, stepped out and walked toward the patio entrance. Most likely, it was the island’s entire police force.
Cedella stood with her hands on her hips as she waited for the officers to approach her. She was calm and welcoming. “I didn’t want them to call for you.” She nodded toward and glared at the two women standing close by. “I’m sorry to have taken time from your busy day.”
“What seems to be the problem?” The tallest officer with a bushy gray beard asked as he approached her.
“They keep telling me their friend has disappeared. You should talk to them. There’s something shady going on with those two.” She continued to glare at the women.
“How long has she been gone?” A chubby officer with dark, slicked-back hair held a pen and notepad, waiting for information.
“If you ask me, I think the Mrs. just went out for a walk. A long walk. People don’t just disappear from Powder Beach.”
The chubby officer motioned for one of the other officers to question the women standing together with their arms linked through each other’s elbows.
With anger draping her face, one of the women shouted out to dispute Cedella’s summary of the situation. “Our friend is not out for a long walk. She would never just leave without telling us where she was going. She’s missing!”
